Governor Crist Announces $1.4 Billion in Accelerated Road Construction
Nov 03, 2008
Chris Ross, a QT Salesmen, who works out of Tampa, FL commented on Florida's "Accelerate Florida: Extending Florida's Economic Horizons" plan, "Florida is finally seeing some loosening of funds for road construction. Three major signs to justify this are:
1. The awarding of the I-95 project in Broward County.
2. The state's accelerated road construction projects.
3. $500 million in projects in northern Hillsborough and southern Pasco counties."
Focusing on strengthening Florida's economy, Governor Charlie Crist and Florida Department of Transportation Secretary, Stephanie C. Kopelousos, announced they will fast track more than 179 projects totaling $1.4 billion in road construction funding.
These projects will employ thousands and generate billions in economic benefits.
The "Accelerate Florida: Extending Florida's Economic Horizons," launched two months ago, has sped up significant improvements to the state's transportation system.
Through seven Accelerate Florida Think Tanks, the governor is gathering the input of business leaders across the state on how government can encourage innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit.
The end of the year is coming fast and so is the end of the economic stimulus package. The demand for equipment will increase and QT is ready for it. Contact us today to ensure delivery before December 31st.
